8:30am, Bird at the Preserve Connetquot State Park Preserve Join us for a short presentation about birds, large and small. Afterwards, take a walk through the preserve led by experienced birders from the Great South Bay Audubon Society to search for birds in the wild. Adult Program. 10am, Annual Golf Outing for Calvary Lutheran Church The 2022 Calvary Golf Outing will take place on September 17 at the Robert Moses 9 Hole Course, Robert Moses State Pkwy, Babylon. 10:30am, Pond Exploration at Caleb Smith State Park Preserve There’s more to Willow Pond than meets the eye! Below the surface of the water lives a vibrant ecosystem. 11am, Toy Paramedic Drop-In Volunteers (grades 6-12) Help keep the library’s toys clean and in tip-top shape. There is no registration necessary, but in order to get the service credit, you must be present for the whole hour. (1-hour service credit per session)

1pm, Long Island Author’s Group Book Talk & Signing: Living a Happier Life at Every Age by Dr. John H. Krahn. Author Saturdays at the Islip Arts Council Gallery, a monthly series of special book talks and presentations. A book signing will follow each presentation. 25% of book sales will be donated to the IAC. The Gallery is located within the Westfield South Shore Mall, 1701 Sunrise Hwy, Bay Shore.
