All Day, Tiny Art Show (pick up supplies starting today) Create a tiny work of art to be displayed in the Library art exhibit case. Stop by the Library to receive a tiny art canvas. You can use any medium you’d like using supplies you have at home: paint, marker, mixed media, etc. Bring your finished masterpiece back to the library by Monday, October 10 to have it displayed in the library this fall. 9:30am, SCBE Public Meeting Notice is hereby given that the Suffolk County Board of Ethics will convene a public meeting in accordance with the provisions of the Governor’s Executive Order 202.1. Pursuant to the Citizens Participation Act, all interested persons are invited to submit testimony, either orally or in writing, at the meeting. FREE Rabies Vaccination Clinic Town of Islip Animal Shelter and Adopt-a-Pet Center, Brookwood Hall, 50 Irish Lane, East Islip.  Don’t miss this opportunity to keep your beloved pet healthy and protected. 9:30am, Defensive Driving In-Person at the Hauppauge Public Library  Classroom BThis is a New York State approved defensive driving class offered by Empire Safety Council. It will be held in-person. A non-refundable check payable to Empire Safety Council for $30 is due at the time of registration. Please arrive 10 minutes early to sign in, late arrivals will not be accepted into the class. 11am, Toy Paramedic Drop-In Volunteers (grades 6-12) Help keep the library’s toys clean and in tip-top shape. There is no registration necessary, but in order to get the service credit, you must be present for the whole hour.
