All Day, Take & Make Volunteer Project Pick Up: Tiny Tie-Dye (entering grades 6-12, while supplies last) Create groovy baby clothing with a simple tie-dye technique using fabric dye and ice cubes. 6:30pm, FREE Drive-In Movie Night: Abominable Casamento Park, 101 Muncey Rd, Bay Shore. The FREE series will run weekly through August, and will be hosted at various locations throughout the Town of Islip  Space is limited and is first come, first serve. Gates open at 6:30pm. 9am, Fire Island Lighthouse Tour (Hauppauge Public Library Cardholders) Experience Fire Island’s natural beauty and maritime history by joining us for a guided tour of Fire Island Lighthouse. We will meet at the boardwalk on the east side of Robert Moses parking field #5 promptly at 9am. From there, we will walk approximately one mile to the lighthouse for the tour. 12pm, Occupied America: British Military Rule and the Experience of Revolution (Online) In his book, Occupied America, Donald F. Johnson chronicles the everyday experience of ordinary people living under military occupation during the American Revolution. Donald Johnson is an Associate Professor of History at North Dakota State University. He specialized in popular politics during the era of the American Revolution, with a particular emphasis on how the experiences of ordinary people shaped social and political change.
