10:30am, Bayard Cutting Arboretum Grounds Tour Outdoor guided grounds tours of the Arboretum are available (weather permitting) for free every Wednesday and Saturday morning at 10:30 AM. All attendees should meet outside of the Manor House. For registration please call 1-631-581-1002.

5pm, Town of Islip Change of Zone Hearing The Town Board of the Town of Islip, as lead agency under the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), will hold an in-person Public Hearing at Islip Town Hall West, 401 Main Street, Islip, on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for change-of-zone application #CZ2017-009, Greybarn-Sayville Planned Development District. A copy of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the proposed action may be obtained by clicking here. Comments for the proposed action are requested and will be accepted at the Public Hearing, and written comments will be accepted at the Department of Planning & Development until 12:30 pm, December 31, 2021. 9am – 12pm, COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic H. Lee Dennison Building, 100 Veterans Memorial Highway. Hauppauge. Vaccine: Moderna. Everyone 18 years and older is eligible. Third doses and Booster doses are available. No appointment is needed, however those with appointments will have priority. To make an appointment, click here or call 311. Bring identification. Medical practitioners and emergency medical practitioners will be on-site at all times at each clinic to answer any questions and tend to any needs or concerns.

10am, Morning Conversations: Keeping Joy in the Holiday Season. Enjoy the holidays and manage the stress. A focus on maintaining joy during the holidays which can be a demanding time in our lives. Presented by Katz Institute for Women’s Health. Register here

Parking is available. Vaccine: Pfizer. Everyone 5 years and older is eligible. Vaccine supplies for children ages 5-11 are currently limited. No appointment is needed, however those with appointments will have priority. To make an appointment, click here or call 311. All persons must show identification. For children 5-17 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must provide consent for vaccination, either in person, by phone at the time of the vaccination appointment, or by completing the consent form. For minors who are 5 through 15 years of age, additionally, an adult caregiver must accompany the minor. Medical practitioners and emergency medical practitioners will be on-site at all times to answer any questions and tend to any needs or concerns. Note: Your child will need a second shot of the Pfizer vaccine three weeks after their first shot.

10am – 3pm, Connetquot River State Park Clubhouse Tours. Step back in time as you tour the Main House of the South Side Sportsmen’s Club. A docent will discuss the history of the tavern and the high society Sportsmen’s Club which shaped Connetquot River State Park Preserve into what it is today.
