9:30am, Starting Your Own Business: Virtual Event Explore your dream of owning a small business. Ronni Rosen, Senior Business Adviser at the Stony Brook Small Business Development Center, will provide an overview of the process of starting a business. 6:30pm, Town of Islip Planning Board will hold an in-person Public Meeting at Islip Town Hall West, 401 W Main Street, Islip. Click here  for the agenda. Thursday, October 14

9am – 12pm COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic H. Lee Dennison Building, 100 Veterans Memorial Highway, Hauppauge. Vaccine: Pfizer. Everyone 12 years and older is eligible. Third doses for Immunocompromised Individuals are available at this clinic. No appointment is needed, however those with appointments will have priority. To make an appointment, click here or call 311. Bring identification. Children ages 12-17 should be accompanied by a parent or should bring completed consent form. Medical practitioners and emergency medical practitioners will be on-site at all times at each clinic to answer any questions and tend to any needs or concerns.

9am to 12pm, Paper Shredding  Hauppauge Public Library  Parking Lot. A shredding truck from A Shred Away will be in the library parking lot for shredding of your personal documents. 10am to 2pm, The Great Giveback In-Person at the Hauppauge Public Library Classroom B. Drop in anytime during the hours of 10am-2pm to create cards and letters of thanks to our local firefighters. 6pm, Halloween Costume Dinner Cruise on the Great South Bay aboard the Lauren Kristy Paddleboat. Buffet with complementary beer and wine, and soda.
