9am to 5pm, Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention An evidence-based program that uses the principles and movements of Tai Chi in helping older adults improve their balance and increase their confidence in doing everyday activities. There are three levels of the program, each offered twice a week for 60 minutes for eight weeks. Each level is led by a trained/certified instructor. 10am, Hearing Before Board of Assessment Review The Board of Assessment Review will meet to hear and examine the 2020/2021 Grievance Complaints filed on behalf of New York Institute of Technology on or about August 31, 2021. 10am to 2pm, Free Health Screenings  Hauppauge Public Library Parking Lot. Catholic Health Services mobile outreach bus will be in the library parking lot with a team of registered nurses to provide free health screenings for adults. Services will include: a brief cardiac history, blood pressure screening, BMI screening, and a simple blood test for cholesterol and glucose. 10am, CPR Training In-Person at the Hauppauge Public Library Classroom B. Learn CPR at this American Red Cross course, which incorporates the latest science and teaches students how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies for victims about 12 years and older. 2pm, Outdoor Concert: Mary Lamont Band Join us for an outdoor concert with the “Queen of Long Island Country,” Mary Lamont and her band.
