2pm Healthy Aging with the Anti-Inflammatory Diet at Hauppauge Public Library. Chronic inflammation is the root cause of many illnesses – including heart disease, some cancers, diabetes, and Alzheimer’s. Stress, lack of exercise, genetic predisposition, and exposure to environmental toxins can all contribute to chronic inflammation. The good news is that dietary and lifestyle choices play a big role in reducing disease. Learn the best strategies for containing and reducing long-term health risks. Presented by Lisa Zimmerman.
7pm The Art of Public Speaking: Teen Ted-Talks Style at Hauppauge Public Library. Do you have to present something for an upcoming class project? Do you want to make your next YouTube video better? Join us for a supportive class that will teach you the art behind public speaking and how to present yourself in public, or in front of a camera, without fear. Presented by: Helen Murdock-Prep.

10am and 1:30pm Maple Sugaring at Sunken Meadow State Park. From seed to syrup, discover the importance of our maple trees!
