All Day, Pick up of Teen Take & Make Community Service Kit: Pen Pal Volunteer Project Brighten the day of members of “SCO Family of Services” by writing postcards to them. (1-hour service credit) Project deadline: Sunday, May 23. Limit: 2 of each kit per teen. The kits are on a first come, first served basis, while supplies last. 3pm, Hike: Bayard Cutting Arboretum Bayard Cutting Arboretum is located at 440 Montauk Highway, Great River, NY 11739. Park in the main lot and meet in front of the Hidden Oak Café. We will hike the River Trail. Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water. Masks and an exercise waiver required. Participants must maintain social distancing. Inclement weather cancels. 3pm, Reference Solutions: An Overview Reference Solutions is a resource for finding business and residential information in the United States. A representative from Reference Solutions will show you how to navigate, filter, and create lists specific to your needs. A Hauppauge Library card is needed to access the database. Friday, March 26

10:30am, Baby Start This half-hour class is designed to introduce babies to the wonderful world of the library! Activities include music, movement, finger plays, fine and gross motor development, and circle time. Visit our YouTube channel to attend this event.  Hauppauge Public Library

Saturday, March 27

All Day, Announcement: On-going Teen Virtual Community Service Projects Available The Hauppauge Public Library has multiple, on-going, teen virtual community service projects available for students in Grades 6-12. No registration required. Please visit our website hauppaugelibrary.org/volunteer for full details on how to complete each project and instructions on how to obtain your community service credit. Each newsletter season, you may do additional virtual projects that were previously completed if you wish.
