Infant CPR Class

This class teaches cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) compression and breaths for infants – a technique that helps to maintain blood flow to the heart and brain in a cardiovascular emergency.

JDRF TypeOneNation Summit

The TypeOneNation Summit is an annual educational summit that brings together the type 1 diabetes (T1D) community. TypeOneNation Summit is a day of education where you can talk to experts about research advances, meet with other attendees to exchange ideas, and participate in discussions important to you. Educational sessions will be focused on T1D care and management and will be geared toward different audiences.

CPR Certification Class for Adults and Teens

American Heart Association CPR certification course for adults and teens.  Certification valid for 2 years.

Connetquot East Side Hike

Connetquot River State Park Preserve

Cost: Parking fee; Free with Empire Passport
Hike the center section of Connetquot River State Park Preserve, branching off along the horse trails to the east and back to see Main Pond.  Approximately 6 miles.

Walk with a Doc
Sunday, March 29, 2020, 10am (meets the last Sunday of every month)

Nutrition During Pregnancy

Class reviews food safety guidelines and foods to avoid during pregnancy. Learn what and how much to eat to help support your growing baby. Information on weight gain discussed.

Hauppauge Public Library also offers health-related events and activities in March, including Chair Yoga, Organic Gardening on Long Island, and Exercise with Cathy. Please see our Spring Newsletter for more details. Registration for Hauppauge patrons begins Saturday, March 7th.
