On Wednesday, June 24th at 7 p.m., the date and time originally planned for Hauppauge Middle School’s Moving-Up Ceremony, Hauppauge Middle School will launch three separate videos to celebrate its 8th grade students. Promptly at 7 p.m., Hauppauge Middle School will activate the links to all three videos through the Hauppauge Middle School’s homepage.

Hauppauge Middle School’s three Moving-Up ceremony videos are as follows:

  • Grade 8 Moving-Up Video Presentation, which will feature a slideshow of Hauppauge Middle School’s 8th graders along with speeches and special awards.
  • HMS Memories: 2017-20, which will provide a video montage of Hauppauge Middle School’s 8th grade students engaged in school activities from grades 6-8.
  • Congratulations, a video from the Hauppauge Middle School faculty and staff.

Additionally, a video montage is in development of Hauppauge Middle School students in grades 6 and 7. On Wednesday, June 24th at 7 p.m., it will be posted on the Hauppauge Middle School’s homepage alongside the Moving-Up ceremony videos.

On Thursday, June 25th at 12 p.m., Hauppauge Middle School will also be hosting a vehicle-parade to celebrate their eighth grade students. Hauppauge Middle School staff and faculty will be parked in the north lot at Hauppauge High School. 8th grade families are encouraged to decorate their cars and include signs featuring their children’s names. Families will drive through the Hauppauge High School north lot as faculty and staff cheer for them from within or outside of their vehicles.

Spectators should note that the Hauppauge School District is still under restrictions for gatherings. Therefore, spectators should not attend and/or gather on school grounds. Families may only participate in the parade from their vehicles. The Hauppauge Middle School PTA will also be distributing special gifts to 8th graders as they drive through the circle.
