From the brilliant and slightly twisted mind of Korean writer and director Chang Hyung-yun, Satellite Girl and Milk Cow centers around teenagers who turn into anthropomorphic animals when their hearts are broken. Surreal as it all is, a relationship develops between the “satellite girl” and the “milk cow.” You can’t help but be charmed by this offbeat little masterpiece, with its wildly entertaining commentary on the possibility for human connection in the crazy, mixed-up, postmodern world we live in. Just give into the weirdness.
