Sagamore Hill, Theodore Roosevelt’s Summer White House with Bill Bleyer

The Historical Society of Islip Hamlet will host Bill Bleyer, author of “Sagamore Hill, Theodore Roosevelt’s Summer White House”. Come and get an inside look at the life and times of this magnificent home. What began as a summer getaway during Mr. Roosevelt’s presidency became a meeting place for the movers, shakers and other luminaries of that era. Through rare photographs, and an intriguing tour of the house and grounds, Mr. Bleyer will recount a fascinating chapter of Long Island history.
The program will be held at the Islip Public Library, 71 Monell Ave, 7-9 pm and is free and open to the public. For more info, 631-559-2915.
