I Am! At IAM: Women Sharing Art Celebrates the 100th Anniversary of Women’s Right to Vote Opening Reception
One hundred and forty four years after Abigail Adams wrote her concerns women finally won the right to vote, the 19th Amendment was ratified and signed into law on August 18, 1920. In celebration of the centennial of this historic event the Islip Art Museum is proud to present ” I Am!” at the IAM by Woman Sharing Art, Inc.
The WSA is an art collective representing thirty-five talented and skilled women artists. In response to the theme of voting rights, its impact then and now, this art collective has created a moving and powerful multi media art exhibit.
