Education and COVID-19: Summer’s Coming, Camp is Calling

Newsday hosts local health professionals and camp experts as they discuss the question of reopening summer camps, their safe operation and what a camp experience will look like in the time of COVID-19. Moderated by Newsday Columnist and Editorial Writer Lane Filler.
Lane’s guests will be: Dan Weir, Senior Director of Program Development, YMCA of Long Island President, New York State Camp Directors Association Board Member, American Camp Association for New York and New Jersey Dr. Sharon Nachman, Chief of the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital Mark Transport, Immediate President of the L. I. Camps and Private Schools Association & owner-director of Crestwood Country Day Camp Mark Newfield, Owner of Iroquois Springs Sleep Away Camp.
