Board of Education Community Meeting at the Whiporwil School

The Board of Education of the Hauppauge Union Free School District will hold a Community Meeting in the Board Room at the Whiporwil School, 495 Hoffman Lane on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, commencing at 7:00 P.M. It is anticipated that the Board will make a motion for the purpose of adjourning into executive session and that at approximately 8:00 p.m. the Board will reconvene in public session. In-person attendance at the meeting will be limited to 50 individuals inclusive of Board of Education members and District personnel and contractors, which amount to 15 individuals. Therefore, the public is strongly encouraged to view the meeting remotely. As authorized by Executive Order No. 202.1, signed by Governor Cuomo on March 12, 2020, and as further extended by Executive Orders, the meeting will also be livestreamed so that the public will be able to view and/or listen to the meeting by joining “Facebook Live” which will be broadcast from the “Hauppauge Public School District Official” Facebook page. It is anticipated that the public participation portion of the meeting will be suspended. For the protection of all in attendance, prior to admittance, all individuals may be subject to COVID-related temperature screenings and required to complete a COVID-related questionnaire.
